Comprehensive Implant Residency Program

Take Your Implant Skills to the Next Level

This year-long course covers advanced implant topics and is designed for clinicians with a significant focus on implant dentistry.  As the course progresses, residents will learn critical skills for implant success. These include ridge width grafting, sinus elevation, and immediate implant placement in esthetic areas. The combination of didactic education, clinical application, and case review work together to form excellence in education.

Didactic & Surgical Schedule

1. Basic

Treatment planning, medical evaluation, cone beam CT analysis, hands-on labs, demo surgery

2. Socket Grafting

Socket grafting, basic site development, the biology of wound healing, osseointegration

3. Mandibles

Treating the edentulous mandible, overdenture protocols, managing postoperative pain

4. Complications

Complications and medical emergencies, advanced wound closure, anesthesia

5: Maxilla

Treating the edentulous maxilla; implant placement and restorations; bone density; effective tx plans; all-on-four techniques (tilted implants).

6. Ridge Width

Grafting materials, techniques for site development, block graft overview, titanium mesh and membranes

7. Sinus Grafting

Sinus anatomy and biology, augmentation techniques, intra-osseous sinus lift procedures

8. Sinus Graft (2)

Lateral approach sinus grafting, managing complications, all-on-four techniques (tilted implants)

9. CBCT Surgery

Using CBCT for guided implant placement, flapless surgical protocols, milled abutments

Our goal is to teach general dentists on how to effectively treat patients with dental implants.
